Sean Whitney - CEOSean Whitney started Visionary Networks as a joint venture with Mark Deason in July of 2003. Prior to founding Visionary Networks, Sean spent 13 years in the telecommunications industry, most recently with Charter Communications where he managed a variety of network systems. Sean was also an integral part of the design, deployment and management of a new DOCSIS network with US Northwest.
Sean also served in the US Army for seven years in the Signal branch (telecommunications), with the last four years in the service as a Signal Officer.
Sean's experience also includes work with CLECs, where he developed the infrastructure for monitoring systems needed to support 24 hour operations.
Mark Deason - Chief Financial/Technology Officer
Mark Deason started Visionary Networks with Sean Whitney in July 2003. Mark has over 30 years of experience with the design and deployment of computer, networks, and telecommunications systems spanning a wide range of platforms and languages. Prior to joining Visionary Networks, Mark worked for LSI Logic, managing high availability Unix systems for a semiconductor manufacturing facility.
